Prayer will give a place to dig a well.
Paul said in Philippians 1:19 For I know this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. The prayer of the intercessors supplied a well of the Holy Spirit he could draw from to turn his situation around.
Men and women have giftings and callings down on the inside of them. Some have their wells stopped up with debris the world has thrown at them. Some have their wells stopped up with fear, no direction, distractions, not making the right connections and so on.
Our Lord Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:31-32 that He had interceded for him due to an attack of the devil He saw coming. And in John 21:3 we find Peter ready to turn his back on the call of God. But…in verses 15-17 we see him being turned around. What came before the turn around? Intercession did.
God has a set place, a position for each member of the body (1Cor 12:18). And we need each member to take his or her place.
Paul said he was travailing in prayer for the Galatians, so that the anointings would be formed within them (Galatians 4:19).
Epaphras prayed always, with out ceasing and he put forth much effort. So that each member of the body he was assigned to would stand complete and fully equipped in his calling.
